Dr. Sandra Marie Naylor-Vactor, Ph.D. 

Dr. Sandra Marie Naylor Vactor is the Lead Pastor of Cornerstone Liberty Community Church, Inc. in Erie, PA. She is the eldest sibling to her brother, Curtis Naylor Jr. and her sister, Christine Pacley. Both parents, the late Honorable Bishop Curtis Naylor, Sr. and Lady Martha Vera Naylor are resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 

 

Dr. Vactor was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She was named by her father. Both parents were “best friends” her entire life. Their influence over her life has had a profound impact that she treasures to this day. Dr. Vactor has (1) adult son, David Jerome and (1) grandson, Justice David Jr. She and her “Bonus Daughter,” Mandy are very close. She credits God with blessing her with such an adoring family! 

 

Dr. Vactor believes God put all of the pieces of her life together for an expressed purpose. Her name means “Helper of Mankind!” While her life, career structure, include multiple education degrees, she will, without hesitation express the Lord Jesus Christ as the “core essence” of her life. Dr. Naylor-Vactor’s academic achievements include: 

  • B.S./Mental Health Counseling, Gannon University Erie, PA

  • Associate degree/Business Office Technology, Mercyhurst University, Erie, PA 

  • M.S./Counseling, Edinboro University (now Penn West University, Edinboro, PA

  • M.A./College Personnel Administration, Edinboro University (now Penn West University), Edinboro, PA

  • Ph.D./Workforce Education and Organization Development, Penn State University, University Park, PA. 

The genre of Dr. Vactor’s Life/Ministry preparations have been focused in the following areas:  

  • Understanding & Valuing Cultural Diversity; Cultural & Systemic Issues that Impact Black Mental Health and Wellness; Impact of Poverty/Racism on Families; Racial Equality, Racial Trauma, Prejudice, Bias, Consequences of Racial Trauma for Children & Adolescents and other subject matter.

Currently, Dr. Vactor is the clinical supervisor of a school-based Partial Hospitalization Program at the Community Country Day School, Erie, PA. She is an ordained minister and lead pastor of Cornerstone Liberty Community Church, Inc. (formerly, Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church, Erie, PA). 

 

Dr. Vactor’s ministerial work are appropriately aligned with her relatedness working with people individually and in groups such as: 

  • Her warmth, friendliness, empathy, listening skills, problem-solving, enthusiasm, gentleness, persistence, flexibility, ethics, and trustworthiness.

Dr. Vactor both solicits and welcomes your prayers as she endeavors to “press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:14). She says,” I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back. I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus.”
